I have never had a credit card in my husband's name.
I learned after my divorce in my first marriage that a woman needs to establish her own credit and not have to depend on a man.

Hey Red!
Happy New Year!

It's about commitment, I think.

Me and my wife of almost 40 years only have ever had is 1 bank account and 1 credit card.
It was on her name.

Only recently I applied for a credit card my own, from the same bank account.
It was not really convenient to keep switching the same card.
She would be out shopping  . . .  and I'd need the card  . . .  or I was web-shopping and she'd need the card in the mall.
This went on for years  . . .  mostly because I only paid stuff with cash or a check  . . .  but things change.
And I rarely venture out of the front gate anymore  . . .  all I need is delivered to my front door now.
